Road register merlo

trying to road register my 2007 merlo as I bought the wrong one at auction (not registered!!)

I sent of the v55 with the coc but they have asked for Original Foreign Registration Document or the Original Export Certificate

How’s that possible surely it’s a Uk machine? Or are they built in Italy and it’s shipped over so classed as imported

any help would be greatly appreciated as lots of work to do at my friends farm and my other land that’s not local

Have you tried the importer, would be my first port of call.
hopefully you opaid VAT on the machine otherwise they will be wanting it, yes you can straight away claim it back if you are registered

Back in the 90's I registered our 1970's Claas senator for the road. I had to phone Claas uk who posted me a letter with the chassis number and date it was built. Think I filled a form in and posted it all to the DVLA who sent someone out from their Stockton office to double check everything and shortly afterwards an R reg V5 arrived in the post.
