Rolling spring oats post emergence

I rolled 10 acres the other day just too see if it would check the ones that have grown and let some still to germinate hopefully catch up. Trouble is it's that dry the now , it might over stress them . Many seeds still to come have a small sprout on them , just not moving further , so wondering if a slow roll would help . Keeping an eye on the 10acre to see if I do more end of week , for hopefully the forecast rain at weekend

Done mine pre emergence, and at 3 leaves. and contemplating doing it again. C 180 plants per sq m established, and tillering now. Cant see where rolls have been. Had all its N. Worth it again do we think?

Should have said mine was rolled pre em too . Just baked dry since . Like you , I've all N on as well , just to catch any showers . Granules away from surface but some of the seed bed fert , "down the spot" can still be found next to seed which is still to germinate , a month since drilling.

Rolled mine the day it was drilled and then harrowed 4 times (every 5-6 days), rolled again today 30 days after drilling. It’s looking bloody sorry for itself due to lack of rain but what doesn’t kill it makes it stronger and at least there’s no weeds in it now.

This field is usually a mat of charlock and you can’t see the corn usually, this year it’s looking on point!
