Rook control

Real challenge with massive rook population. They are smart and won’t stay if they sniff a gun about. We've had professional shooters in and they just don’t touch the population.
They decimate the cow tmr and any seed grain in the ground. Then they trample growing crops and strip grain. Bangers can go all day but won’t put them off.
any suggestions welcome. Too smart for any design of ladder trap we’ve tried.

Shoot some and hang them upside down so their wings open out and flap in the wind.

They don't like to see their mates in 'distress' and will bu99er off somewhere else and thus be somebody else's problem.

Pre-baiting seems to be the answer with traps. Spread a few eggs in the area of the trap so they get used to looking for them and, hopefully, hooked on an easy meal. Then some inside.
