Ahh least it’s goimg to come warmer, have to let us know how you get on, might have him do some silage aftermaths at some point, out of interest @neilo what seed rates are you using for your dd swedes and turnips? Cheers

I aim for about 3/4 of a kg/ac for swedes or maincrop turnips now, rising to a kg/ac for stubble turnips a bit later, perhaps a tad higher late in the season.

All a bit of guesswork tbh, as a kg/ac of swedes is far too high if you get fantastic germination & establishment, but too low if it’s a catchy time and half of them fail. 3/4 of a kg/ac seems like a halfway house.
