What rate would you put on to kill this sized blackgrass please? Using rain water [emoji97]

2L/ha will kill that stone dead. Grasses are generally much more sensitive to glyphosate than BLWs. I would use an adjuvant mind as these days I would have my doubts about any glyphosate formulation, even a posh one. Validate to go with it.

We added x-change to our Roundup vista last Autumn as we have hard borehole water and it made it go a bit 'gloopy'(if there is such a word).
Used some later without x change at 1.6l/ha seems to have killed all the weeds.
Was told Vista doesn't need a water conditioner.

Have you had your borehole water analysed? Even the best glyphosate formulations will do better with water conditioners for anything harder. X Change needs to be added slowly as the tank fills - chucking it in first creates an oily scum in the tank that doesn't go away.

I had very hard mains water. I set up a Dosatron on a separate tank for conditioned water at the right concentration. If you buy an IBC of Aquascope (same as X Change) from Frontier, they will give you the Dosatron free. I used the treated water for generic glyphosate, hormones & SU herbicides, pyrethroid insecticides
