Looks like they’ve gone down the same route as lgbt activists, they’re now embracing the insects and molluscs and crustaceans.

I thought it was great. I wonder what kind of famer would be opposed to the idea of showing respect to their animals.
Met lots of brilliant famers who really cared for livestock but the industry needs to get it's house in order so hat it stops getting caught out through the actions of those who tarnish you name.
I'd spend some time looking inwards and reflecting on WHY animal abuse keeps getting uncovered instead of getting your knickers in a twist over an advert.

Well for example I manage a broiler farm. We are high welfare. I work f**king hard to ensure that the birds are happy and healthy and go to market in the best possible shape. These chickens are at most 42 days old. They don't go outside. And in that advert they're vilified. So actually I think it's very much worth getting my knickers in a twist.
Just shows the agenda doesnt it. The river wye lately has been awarded 35 million which will go towards buffer strips, stopping pollution from farms and sewage etc but alot of the main groups moaning about the wye havent rejoiced at this money because what they really wanted was intensive farming stopped .
Should every parent look inwards to see why kids keep getting abused? Some people are just wronguns no matter what they are abusing. Any commercial farmer that doesn’t do the job right in this day and age goes bust very quickly or isn’t a farmer in the first place.
Any roadside animal abuse I see is by townies playing at being country people with absolutely no idea about animal husbandry, big house, few acres, couple of grass sick knackered Ponies shut on a bit of dirt eating some black hay, a few mongrel sheep with scab & footrot hobbling about, a couple of pygmy goats with mange & the obligatory pot bellied pig all of which should have been euthanized long before it got to the stage it has.
Feckwits photographing animals & crowdfunding for their care is not helping them, a .22 bullet would be more benefit for most of the cases I see......................owners included.

Same with that wildlife trust advising to report to police when they see farmers cutting hedges.
How would you suggest it 'gets its house in order'? There's practices in farming that are wholly justified from a welfare perspective, but that the general public perceive as wrong as they have such little knowledge of farm animal welfare. They don't understand that we have a wealth of experience in animal husbandry and that we are guided by research from animal behaviour specialists and vets in the form of best practices and regulations. Until the general public is educated, I think it's a losing battle. Misinformation surrounding livestock farming perpetuates because it's so much more available to the public than any content from the agricultural industry. How do we counteract this?

The reader has the right of reply and the publisher has a duty to correct mistakes. This whining that "Someone ought to do something" isn't going to cut it. There needs to industry organisation to counter the false 'news'. What we need is a union. Oh! I forgot. We've got one. 
Seen a "begging " advert on TV recently with pics of mistreated pets. If they spent their money on that it would be fine.... Trouble with the RSPCA is that they WASTE money on political gesturing and campaigning. They should be ashamed of their conduct - they mislead people who donate to them in good faith to rescue abused animals.

Yes, that adverts infuriated me too, to the point of cancelling my monthly donation money. I emailed the RSPCA to complain about the pathetic woke militant vegan attitude and had a reply to state that if I meant woke as in progressive.? my reply was, this advert isn’t progressive, in fact it’s regressive and insulting to all our UK farming people. I think what the RSPCA and all the other soft ball lefties would love to see UK farming completely fold, and rely on horrendous cheap imports from countries that show no animal welfare whatsoever. It saddens me because this is the state of our country at present.

I did complain to the ASA. I wonder if I’ll receive a response?! If the lefty RSPCA (I really did love the rspca, what a shame) care so much about snails, then why don’t we phone on mass to say we have an injured snail, or collect 100’s and take them into their centres?
