You lot will upset @spin cycle. The rotospreader is his latest gadget. Before that he let the horse walk across the field and forked the muck out the back of the cart.

oh and a lot of rotaspreaders still being sold...including new....if you want a spreader under 12t it's pretty much the only choice:(

You used to tip it out in heaps about 10yards apart with the horse and cart,then spread it out by hand through the late winter/early spring.Older folk on the forum might actually have done it.

Not one of the older folk on the forum but have spread muck by hand for my neighbour, although he used the tractor and power linkbox to put it out in the heaps

My father always said he would let the horse walk across and fork it out. He really missed the horses. He admitted once that when the first tractors arrived he found ploughing very tedious so would set the tractor going, get off and walk behind.
