where did st john have his wort:cautious::sick::LOL:(y)

Nice side effects with that :-
It can cause some side effects such as trouble sleeping, vivid dreams, restlessness, anxiety, irritability, stomach upset, fatigue, dry mouth, dizziness, headache, skin rash, diarrhea, and tingling.

??????

It doesnt mean you will suffer any of these, any @multi power you already have trouble sleeping, restlessness, irritability, fatigue, headache, so I wouldnt worry about it

Yes as a suffering of chronic fatigue/fibro (luckily mild) Im def worse in the winter. Getting out of bed in the dark is horrendous for me and no matter how much sleep I have I still feel tired. Most def an improvement in the warm and sun for me. Got to be something in it that shorter day light means should be doing less instead of pushing ourselves to the limit. I would consider the lamp and its not a huge amount of money.

Iirc St John's Wort can have serious side effects if taken with some prescribed medications and it can cause photo sensitivity.

Having seen what happened to one of our cows with photo sensitivity from suspected St Johns Wort ingestion:cry: I would try to avoid the product.

I get SAD every year but much later than this. If I spend all day in the office and can't go outside when work finishes because it's dark, it comes on, so from the time when clocks go back I guess. Daylight lamp works well for me, not a complete cure but definite improvement in mood, just have it lit next to you wherever you sit in the house in the evening.

Always get very miserable this time of year worst when weather is bad like been last few days :(
Considering getting a SAD light.
Any experiences with them?

My old office was very dark with little natural light - was sure SAD affected me in the winter and had very little energy through dark months. I bought a light i'm sure it worked, advice was only to have in on in the mornings, occasionally I would forget to turn it off and those days it was hard to get to sleep at night !

moved office and sit in front of a big window now so no longer use the light

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
