Go for it! Nobody loved a good fry-up including lots bacon and sausages more than a late uncle of mine , yes he is my 'late' uncle but he lived to be 91 (Having said that he hardly drank and NEVER smoked).NHS - speaks thusly:
All the evidence was assessed to be low or very low certainty. This means the pooled studies give an unreliable estimate of the effect of red or processed meat consumption. The true effect may be very different to these results. You need to use considerable caution when basing recommendations on such evidence, which is why the recommendation is "weak"

Best go easy on processed meat sadly, God I love bacon.

over the pond, a vegan couple have been charged with murder, for killing their 18 month old son, they had him on a diet of fruit and nuts only, he was 1/2 weight he should have been, also charged with 'failing to care properly' they were well underweight as well, put into care. They wouldn't agree they were doing anything wrong. No I have it on very good authority, that if you live 100% vegan, don’t drink and obviously none of the other vices, you will live forever.
At least you will think so
Quite right. Butchers made sausages are light years better than some of the packaged mass produced things. They have a decent meat content to start with. I support a localish small farmer that invested in a farm shop and deli. Not the cheapest price but the best quality and I know many of his suppliers. His red meat is outstanding! Happy to support himProper homemade Award winning sausages from the Local Butchers here... Bit more money but worth the extra... If you read everything it'll all kill you.
I've been saying this for years. Our knowledge of human nutrition is poor at a scientific level never mind a consumer level. This country knows more about whats good for feeding cows than it does for hummans
I don’t believe any of these articles about certain foods being good or bad for you, since most nutrition “research” has been mainly based on food questionnaires which are completely unreliable, and any supposed effects are very small.
The main thing which I believe is bad for us is obesity.
as someone said, you can forego all the 'life limiting' goodies, exercise properly, don't smoke/drink, and live your extra 5 years, the result, all your savings, house etc will be spent on your last 5 years, sat in a chair, dribbling your food, incontinent nappies, family hoping you don't go on to long etc. Dementia is the big worry, but it does have the advantage, of not realising all the above is happening to you !id Rather die 5 years younger and eat what the fudge I want
I believe the death rate is still 100% whatever you eat.
made 1,000's of sausages, the secret is, plenty of fat, that puts the taste and texture in them, too little fat, = dry tough sausages, to much, you get a panful of fat !Quite right. It's getting to the stage now where these stories need a "warning - epidemiology study" label in bold letters across the top. They really do come up with some guff. This story just shows how scientists can come up with the wrong conclusion at times because they just don't think enough.I don’t believe any of these articles about certain foods being good or bad for you, since most nutrition “research” has been mainly based on food questionnaires which are completely unreliable, and any supposed effects are very small.

True enough. The ones I buy are a tad dry to be fair so will be advising a b it more fat pleasemade 1,000's of sausages, the secret is, plenty of fat, that puts the taste and texture in them, too little fat, = dry tough sausages, to much, you get a panful of fat !
Sounds like I better up my sausage intake before I need to wear nappies!over the pond, a vegan couple have been charged with murder, for killing their 18 month old son, they had him on a diet of fruit and nuts only, he was 1/2 weight he should have been, also charged with 'failing to care properly' they were well underweight as well, put into care. Think I've got this right - an outwardly slim person can be obese, if they carry large amounts of their body fat internally?

Excessive oxygen can be poisonousOf course it will - even breathing is highly dangerous!
