so, are beavers going to stop HS2, or house building, or road building? I would have thought those were the biggest threats to the countryside (apart from tree planting a monoculture of pine trees).
due to the population density in the uk the countrysides fecked anyway at least it is around here! and any amount of beavers will save it.Just heard headline on News 24 , "beavers to be released to save the countryside" , well that's a relief , at least we can all sleep well now ,,, assuming they mean beaver animals before anyone gets to excited

“They” all want the countryside to be warm and fuzzy, but don’t realise that many wild species quite like us so are happy to move into towns.
City foxes anyone? Folks love them until they’re digging up their shrubbery and fighting with their cat in the middle of the night.
