Did you have to pay the sac?
No not even a mention of paying them it's all funded by government what company is trying to charge you? I just got email to call and arrange a time that suited me in November or December so just got it done.

They are trying to charge me but I can claim it all back. It's Allan and Davidson.

I'd rather just do it myself and get the £500 but don't think this is possible.

I may be wrong but Ricardo Energy and Consultancy were awarded the contract to do this with either SAC working for them or the contract was awarded jointly. SAC going to be doing ours as Ricardo are well behind seemingly (was going to be Ricardo to do ours) . No charge for this as it is part of the scheme from the outset. The firm you mention above maybe looking to get all the information together with you but I would think you would not get your fee back and would still need to do the audit with Ricardo/SAC.

Got an email through regarding our tissue sampled we sent away LAST January for the 2015 born calves that were tissue tagged!

They have either lost the original samples at the time and never bothered with it or have lost the resulting data since then, but they have asked if we have any left on the farm from this lot with tags in and if so could we take some pictures of them showing the number etc and send them back to them!

Total joke, it is one thing after another that keeps going missing or being mis-laid at there end! [emoji35][emoji35][emoji35][emoji35]

Is the payment meant to be per ha?

I'd a payment in which didn't look to be correct on a per ha basis. I thought it was per animal.

Not in the scheme but as headage payments are not allowed under EU rules they have probably had to convert the total claimed into a hectarage basis.
Only reason it was acceptable to EU in the first place was because of the environmentally friendly aspects of it such as the carbon audit rather than animal genetics side of things that a big play was made of.

I found the carbon audit quite interesting. I'm a bit sad like that though.

We burned just under 1000l of fuel per week looking after cows. I just put a diary in fuel station and recorded fuel use Wednesday night to Wednesday night.
