been looking at my sfp on the rural payments website there is no evidence of the beef efficiency scheme payment even though ive now been paid, is this just lumped in with the greening or Basic Payment Scheme(REGION1)?
It's paid on a person ha basis as I was told above. I called them up and they explained it. It's didn't appear on my rural payments page either.

I didn't realise before but you only get paid on number of calves registered in base year.

If you have increased herd size you still have to submit all information but only get paid on animals registered in 2016.

Yes i think this was due to rules of not being alowed to do "headage" payments these days, if it had been lumped in with the basic payment though id have expected that to jump 6k this year which it hasnt? Mabye the money comes from scottish gov instead of EU so doesnt appear on rural payments website at all?

Our tags were showing on the website as selected on 22-08-2020 but we're only delivered about 3 weeks ago. Calv s go through before Christmas for an Ivomec Super injection anyway so it's not a massive deal.

I had phoned ScotEID at the start of October and the systems were playing up (working from home) so she couldn't tell me anything. She advised to wait until mid December if they still hadn't arrived and I'd probably be told to forget about it.

I have just looked on scoteid again. We had two lots of tissue tags sent in 2019. 1st batch for autumn calves born in 2018 but when they selected them 1/5/19 we had already sold them all bar heifers retained for replacements. Then on the 4/9/19 they selected calves born in march/April 19 which we did tissue tag.
So by my reckoning we would have done enough tissue tags to fulfil the requirements of the scheme if we had been able to use the ones they sent us for the autumn calves that we had already sold. I know from previous years (I think it was the first year where the tags were issued late) and a lot of our calves had been sold that had been selected, then other calves would be selected for tissue tagging that were still on farm to meet the 20%.
It would suit me if we didn't need to tag anymore

I was working with some calves this morning, so had this years tissue tags ready when I realised that none of the tags were for this years calves, but all last years, most of which were sold 6 months ago.
Anybody else the same ???

Yep, the scheme is finished. You probably should have tagged some last year but if you have heard nothing about a breach then forget it.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.
