A number are already growing for digesters all ready.
Used to be a commercial crop in Fife and Angus until Cupar plant closed many years back.
Having had fodder crops with tonnages leaving English sugar beet crops in their wake in the summer of 2018, but poor in 2019 you would have to be brave to build a processing plant, along with competition with seed potatoes for ground.
