It has just been announced that the Scottish Government has given QMS a £90,000 grant to promote Scotch Beef and Scotch Lamb in England.

A well-known, but as yet unidentified chain store in England, is exclusively to sell only Scotch Beef and Scotch Lamb.

We all know that Scotch Beef (if not Scotch Lamb) has a very high reputation, and it is obvious that English beef and lamb producers will be highly delighted at this bold initiative.

We all know that Scotch Beef (if not Scotch Lamb) has a very high reputation, and it is obvious that English beef and lamb producers will be highly delighted at this bold initiative.
England is our biggest export market, makes sense to build on our success.

Last I heard Scotland was still British! Any government or levy money should be spent promoting the consumption of British Beef and Lamb within Britain and promoting British Beef and Lamb towards export markets. There shouldn't be an internal battle on our internal market aimed at trying to displace one regions production with that from another, it really helps no one!

The money is from Scotgov, not Westminster, we have to try hard to export as we have a surplus, unlike England who is a net importer iirc.

Aye but it's the filter down effect. If we create a strong demand and price for our superior quality product then ultimately it will lift the price at your end too.:D:D
