Has anyone noticed that there seems to be more seagulls about inland than normal ie. 8-10 miles Is this because of less free offerings on the coast?

I think the birds are having a hard time of it, lots of activity around our garden and seed feeders and we put water bowls out, too. Seems to busier than I would expect for the time of year.

I can never understand how I wont see a land gull for ages yet I only need to plough the first furrow of a field and suddenly I've got half the world's population chasing me. I hate them taking all my worms. Mowed for silage yesterday and had half a dozen hovering right behind the mower waiting to pounce on any small mammals.

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
