SFI payments

Has anyone had their second payment yet? Agreement started 1/11/23 and no sign as yet.

Went to a meeting last year with Sandi Kapila one of the head honchos at RPA and he made a big point about understanding the importance of regular/reliable payment windows, looked back through our agreement and is no mention of actual dates for payment which imho is wrong.

We are in the same position as you, same start date so expecting second payment this month.
I think others who had a 1st October start date received their second payment in the first half of last month. I saw this on one of the other SFI threads.

Had this question from a client last week- with a 1/11/2023 start date you will have had the advanced first payment which would normally come in the month following the first 3 months so sometime in February. The second payment would be 3 months after that so some point in May and so on.

The first payment would be made in November as the first payment was accelerated for applications in 2023. We received ours in November. At the time thought second payment would be in February but not so. 6 month gap to second payment.

Had our payment on 13 November with notification after it hit the bank account so expecting next payment next week if we’re lucky. Not going to hold my breath.

Can you request for a Rpa inspector to come on farm. Just for a chat about SFI or is it a matter of spending half a day to get an answer from a different person you first spoke too.

The difficulty now is you get an automated response and are asked to enter your phone number for them to contact you asap and they will try 3 times to be fair next working day . However today after setting this up on friday got the first phone call when loading a lorry the second when filling a vehicle with fuel and the third when trying to move ewes and lambs so back of the q again as couldnt answer phone quick enough . However tried again and did get a human ringing back ,unfortunately phone signal went awry so call ended left it an hour but no recall so rang again same story left number and a couple of hours later got a recall from a human who took on board that its not easy when actually working covered in grime /sheep sh-- or driving to answer the phone . However the guy I ended up talking to said he would ring back if we got cut off and whilst this wasnt needed found him helpful understanding and pleasant so credit where its due and i felt he went out of his way to answer my queries mindst I did embroil the problem of being up to your armpit inside a ewe lambing a breach birth whilst trying to answer your phone and then being sent to the back of the q , ho ho

Snap, other than not knowing the actual payment dates which I guess is relatively minor as long as they are when they should be, I think SFI works really well!

I as an agent am bemused - sorry. Other than not knowing the actual date my observation is SFI payments are being made in the month following the three month anniversary. As someone used o being berated by clients and having to was time that I could not charge fee for chasing BPS payments is that not sufficiently accurate and efficient - that is a genuine question.

I know my milk cheque which I rely on to pay my mortgage, wages etc is paid in on the 15th of every month, what’s wrong with them actually saying you will be paid on the 9th of every third month? So used to RPA payments being late it’s almost expected for it to be late/delayed etc.
