Sheep with sore belly

I have been keeping sheep as a hobby for 15 years but they always find new ways to confuse/frustrate me!

I have a 3yo ewe that has a sore stomach area, she has no fleece on her underside at all and it is sore almost like a burn like blister across the whole area. Obviously it is uncomfortable and she is scratching it with her back feet so it never eases.

The rest of the flock are fine, any ideas whet it can be and how to treat it?

Thankfully she is not being bothered by flies, but I am concerned they might start with the hot weather.

Solution
Thank you for all the advice, I never did get a picture but I put her in the shed for a few days and kept the belly covered in a crovect and petroleum jelly mix and the sores healed.
She is now back out with the flock and I'll keep an eye on her to see if it reoccurs.

How greasy is your ewe?
I'd say it's just mites and easy to sort but pics needed.

Copious vaseline mixed with a dash of crovect or similar put on with a latex glove.
Does she lie in dirt/dust under trees or undercover?
If so the dirt will remove the vaseline v quick and you'll have to improvise and re-apply regularly.

This heat will exacerbate the itchy-scatchy.

As an aside, we rent off a few horsey types. Older nags can get sweet itch which is remedied with Killtich.
The price means it's not recommended for sheep. 😂

is she near a river or damp area ? seen this a few times its a bacteria on the grass irritating skin , she will get over it later in year when itt cools down , but best mark to cull as same ones will be affected next year
some zwartbles are quite prone to it

Glad that you got some help back after all you do here. Also happy the sheep is good -
now mark it for cull. [Sorry]
