When you work out sheep per acre I don't think it sounds any better ffs. It's only 25 weeks!Sorry, i should have said its grazing may till end of October.
depends on the type of grass, anyone know what the AD plants are paying for grass on a £/ton fresh depending on wilt that would give you an ideaWhat’s the going rate for first cut silage due for June to July period.pound per acre standing crop looking to sell a few acres to neighbouring farms north wales area plenty of demand just wondering what would be an acceptable price for it roughly
Is that for the summer 6 month let ?You guys are lucky, poor grass making £130-£140 acre up here, fields are bare.
Some people must be optimistic about the future of livestock industry. Couldn't make it pay ourselves.

is any of that in pembsLoads of silage / haylage on FB for less than £20 / bale. Hardly worth bothering to make it yourself......
Yes. Join the farming / smallholders FB page. Never seen so much for sale.......is any of that in pembs
Its nearly June..lots of the growing season already gone..hay crops around me are looking poor unless you have put loads of Fert on...but of course with hay we never do that,i have some fert that ist even washed in yetThoughts on where hay price is headed this year?
No supplies left round our way, prices through the roof before that and this year's grass in dire need of more rain if we're going to get usual yields.
