What’s the going rate for first cut silage due for June to July period.pound per acre standing crop looking to sell a few acres to neighbouring farms north wales area plenty of demand just wondering what would be an acceptable price for it roughly
depends on the type of grass,anyone know what the AD plants are paying for grass on a £/ton fresh depending on wilt that would give you an idea

Thoughts on where hay price is headed this year?

No supplies left round our way, prices through the roof before that and this year's grass in dire need of more rain if we're going to get usual yields.

Its nearly June..lots of the growing season already gone..hay crops around me are looking poor unless you have put loads of Fert on...but of course with hay we never do that,i have some fert that ist even washed in yet

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
