any manufacturers make any smaller one pass cultivators similar to the sumo trio that can be handled with smaller Hp tractors was thinking along the lines of a 2metre trio type machine, must be a market for such a thing

I used to use an opico varitilth with a 3m set of knoche discs on the back for about ten years, before upgrading to a 3m weaving subdisc. I could do 5 acres an hour with a jD 6800 (120hp) with the tines about 8” deep. Varitilth points aren’t cheap but overall it was a cheap one pass cultivator and I could use the discs separately if need be. Subdisc is much heavier, but cheaper points suit me better. It does need a bigger tractor to lift it compared to the old combination. I now use 150 hp and achieve 6-7 acres an hour but the legs are in 9-10 inch. Only a single row of discs so they are more of a levelling tool really.

:unsure: some folk must have a different definition of "smaller HP" to me! I struggle to pull either of those separately at any reasonable work rate with anything less than 130HP

Yeah to be fair you’d need at least 150hp.
@DX 3.90 has 200hp on a 4m

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
