2 of my ewes have this gone snotty. They were worked and fluked after tupping with Albex. Wondering if anyone knows what this is? Nasal bots maybe?

Maybe just a reaction to the first pollen/dust of the year in their fields?
Sheep can't pick their noses so they have to snot out irritants.
I'm not meaning to be facetious just cant think of any technical terms....

Sent photos to the vet and he said it was pneumonia and prescribed 100ml bottle of Tuloxxin to inject all the flock. After coming away and realising this was £400 for the bottle and meant to be used for Footrot I went back to the vets and they said just inject the affected sheep.
Tuloxxin is good for pneumonia as well as foot problems. I’d treat for nasal bots too, I normally have to dose mine at this time of year. Normally use either ivermectin or closantel drench.

I don't understand how they would get Pneumonia being out in the field. Will just do the 2 ewes affected and also bring everyone in at the weekend and reworm them with a different wormer. thanks!

Weather here is always changing, warm and wet one day , chill the next , I wouldn’t necessarily say pneumonia but I am not a vet
I would give a cheap AB if they were mine .
Alamycin or betamox
We’ve had occasional snotty ewes and not touched them without problem

Ours get snotty with warm days and cold nights. It's seasonal. Just as nasal bots are. Red flecks in snot means we get them in and listen to their chest for wheezing and treat accordingly.

Be nasal bots, I don't bother treating for them and never get any issues. If the vets given you ab for pneumonia without sounding it's chest they want stringing up. Same as A and E chucking flucloxacylin around like sweets
