It was just beginning to turn white on the roofs and get a bit on the grass at 01:30, bugger all at 07:00 just rain showers and damned cold in the wind all day.

Some of the drifts here are over three feet deep :cry:. Over a foot of snow fell in next to no time and blawing a hoolie as well! More for tonight. Cattle are doing fine though, sheep are mostly okay, won't know for certain till it thaws, had to dig a few out today.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
