Soil Sampling

With all that is going on at the minute, the company which analyses our soil samples have shut for two weeks.

We need to get on with fert applications (this is on grassland, not quite cropping but thought I'd ask here). Will soil samples keep for long if they are kept refrigerated? Or is it now best to wait until first cut has been removed in mid-may?

How accurate and time consuming are they when done at home? Will I be able to find P, K + trace elements as I currently do? I'm not aware of the process carried out in-lab.

Sorry, what I meant by doing it yourself is you collecting the soil samples and send them off to the lab.
