Angus based precision farming solutions pioneers SoilEssentials have announced that they are going to be arranging catch up calls and chats to anyone who would have been planning to visit them at this year’s Highland Show in order to say hello, and raise money for charity at the same time.
With so many agricultural shows cancelled in 2020, the team at SoilEssentials have come up with an alternative, which means existing and potential customers can receive a call from them instead.
Starting on Monday 15th June through to Friday 19th June, the SoilEssentials team will be keeping their diaries clear to make lots of calls… and the more calls the better, as they will be donating £1.00 for every call made to RSABI as part of their #KeepTalking campaign.
Callers can get expert opinion on everything from soil health monitoring to guidance systems and the latest in potato crop management software. Whether you want to find out how to get the most from your Trimble or KORE products, or learn more about how Garford inter-row hoes can significantly reduce herbicide use, make sure you arrange your call as soon as possible.
Head to the SoilEssentials website and read about the enthusiastic team, each with something unique to offer, they will be ready and waiting to speak to you! Those interested are advised to pre-book. Once you have decided who you'd like to talk to, check their availability and choose which day, whether a morning or afternoon call suits you best, click on the email or call/text 07881 202297 with your details and get booked in! Join in and #KeepTalking.
RSABI’s #KeepTalking campaign is actively encouraging farmers, crofters and others involved in agriculture to make the time to pick up the phone, or chat online, to connect with other people. It will run until June 22nd, the final day of what would have been the week of the Royal Highland Show.
The campaign is set to culminate with a national #KeepTalking Day on June 18th, which was due to be the first day of the Royal Highland Show, when RSABI and the campaign’s partners, ambassadors and supporters will be encouraging everyone to make a call to someone they haven’t spoken with in the past six months. This ties in with SoilEssentials’ virtual catch up week.

“We love to talk! But with so many of this year's agriculture Shows cancelled, in particular - our highlight on the calendar every summer - The Royal Highland Show, it makes it difficult not only to see everyone this year, but to speak to them as well. So, this is our alternative. An opportunity to still have the chats we enjoy normally on our stand at The Royal Highland Show, but instead we'll do it by giving people a call!”
She continued:
“We have decided to tie our catch-up event with RSABI’s #KeepTalking campaign. We are an RSABI Business Supporter and the work they do across the agricultural industry in Scotland is so important, and many people rely on agricultural shows to catch up with friends and acquaintances, so it’s important that those conversations and relationships are still happening, even if not in real life for the time being.”
