Folks can feel free to PM me and we can get acquainted on Steam. I don't have that many ultra modern games, I am time limited at the moment.

EDIT

No mans sky is 50% off? Anyone got it??
Tempted by it, it is supposed to be much better now. I will drop you a message and add you on steam.

Yes, I used to play it but was a bit too young at the time to get into it properly. Star Citizen is the spiritual successor, done by Chris Roberts who was the guy behind freelancer.

Yes, I've seen it in VR mode, it really does look incredible.

I have this one, haven't played it since shortly after the early access came out, has it been fleshed out much? I had Stranded Deep at the same time, but that was barely touched after it went up on steam and kinda put me off a lot of those games.
I was young the first time round and then 're discovered it in my late teens when I was meant to be doing a levels. Played a lot of football manager and freelancer and had hundreds of old console games on an emulator.
More fun than schoolwork

By my late teens I was playing rugby about 60% of my conscious hours, playing games like Eve and Silent Hunter 3 for 20%, and then the remaining 20% was split between the pub and school.

So yeah, pretty much the same, a-levels didn't even get a back seat position. They got chucked into the boot with everything else.

Yes I got No Mans Sky about a year ago.

It's okay. A bit annoying and not easy to pickup what you are actually doing.

You really need to make lots of money to get the best stuff .. I got most of the Vehicles .. I think you need 100s millions for the Freighters and I just couldn't get the base farming setup.

Didn't totally like the storyline either .. but things may have changed since then, there's been a big patch.

It can get quite addicting :D
And then some, I find it to be one of the best 'armchair games' around. You can easily use the controller, have it on the big TV and just sit back and plod on.

My wife even sits and watches it, we dubbed the TV the fish tank when I first started playing it.

Have any of you been following the 'Below Zero' development? That looks to be taking it in an interesting direction.

A mate of mine sent me this. A way of getting an mp mod for it... But it was during early access so not sure it would work?

Interesting, I would be intrigued to see if it still worked.

It was going to be part of the base game, but devs decided not to pursue it in the end on account that the engine wasn't stable enough.

Oh. Yeah I heard them say somit about it going to be. But I thought they didnt do it cos it was way too much work, didn't know the engine wasn't stable enough...
