Any splitting rail will do that but most often than not it’s easier to split backwards by using a length of scaffold pole type welded to an old yoke on the PTO shaft to balance it and roll it back on its own wheels. Jack and axle stand under the front section of course.

I have got the VL churchill type which I normally do clutches with......my line of thought was with thr wheels off and that maybe it was a bit precarious perched on that and support under the trumpet housings might be needed, but I see where you're coming from think this is probably a better solution.

We've made Jack's with wheels fitted for this job. If you want to wheel rear end out from under cab to do fwd/ reverse clutch packs etc it's perfect. Basically I bought 2 good quality trailer Jack's and bolted solid wheels to the bottom of them. Made L shape brackets to fit under trumpet housings and bolt on instead of stabiliser brackets. Jack's fit to brackets with a couple of pins. Trolley jack under hitch and away you go. It works very well in fact we have modified L brackets many times to fit different brands. It's also handy when putting g tractor back together , if things not aligned just screw Jack's abit. Got packs to do on MTX 200 next week. Will take some picks
