Situation Vacant Spray/drill operator

We are seeking a hard-working, trustworthy and positive person to join our progressive arable and finishing cattle business in the Scottish Borders.

Farming 1800 arable acres, main shared responsibilities will include:

• Primary cultivation
• Drilling with 6m Horsch KR and Sprinter
• Spraying with 36m trailed John Deere 962i

You will be able to work to a high standard both individually and as part of a team. Mechanical experience or an understanding is desirable as you will be required to maintain and upkeep machinery.

Winter duties will include:

• feeding and bedding cattle
• ploughing
• digger work
• maintenance along with other general farm duties.

The position is full time and the successful candidate will be expected to work additional hours during busy seasonal periods.

Requirements:

• Trustworthy
• Full driving licence essential
• PA1 & PA2 spray certificates
• Combine experience an advance
• Interest in cattle would be an advantage
• Knowledge of Greenstar an advantage
