Sorry it's off topic,
But why is it those s*dding fields are the ones everyone can see:banghead:.

2 of my roadside fields, I had a blocked nozzle while spraying Pacifica, have a little green stripe up and down all across the fields and no doubt come harvest they'll be a narrow strip of BG for all to see. Surprised how much it has knocked the wheat but done a cracking job on the BG.
Back to the OP, 25 acres still to do but waiting for some seed to turn up, so on with fert spreading instead

All drilled up here bar 25 acres (waiting on some seed)

Same here, neighbour borrowed some seed to get finished. Waiting for the replacement to come, the field left is a bit wet in the middle yet after veg. So some enforced patience is no bad thing.

Start potatoes early next week.

Planted spring barley but have been caught out by rain so haven't been able to roll it... would like to roll after emergence when is the earliest you would go?

I have 2 fields the same as you. I will wait until it is fully emerged before rolling. Some plants may have 2 leaves on while the deeper seed is just poking through. IMO the idea is to have strong roots (more than one in case one snaps off) that can withstand a bit of movement as the rolls pass over.
