Yep, it was always going to be that way.

Can't you put in a winter variety in Feb?

I'd guess spring barley could be expensive too if there is a peak in demand due to a lack of wheat sown. Which could in turn add up to wheat seed supply being an issue next Autumn.

I'm keeping enough wheat and spring barley to for our own seed if required.

I said a while ago that it would start with a 6 and was laughed at, guess SB wont be far behind. Just a pity I sold 250t of Mulika for £132 just after harvest...... Fortunately kept 30t back to get some cleaned for seed.
Apparently Skyfall is good up until end of Feb but will probably switch over to SW mid Feb if I dont get any more WW in.

I did even worse than that, Frontier called a load of feed Wheat, as I had approx 10t of Belepi on the front of the shed off margins I put it on the load, unfortunately for me they sent to a biscuit mill, load was rejected, and got a penalty and a redirection hit. Would have been handy in the trailer now :banghead:

If you sold it as feed why did it go to a biscuit mill? Did that to me with feed going to Manchester and sent it to a mill in Northampton, rejected there and redirected to Manchester along with redirection costs. Interesting phone call that one!!!!

I think a phone call is in order. If it’s within the spec you sold then it’s not your problem.

Afraid there's getting very little option around here now to sell grain to, inputs the only option left is Agrii
FarmAgri and would deliver to you if you’re not wedded to serviced agronomy, or Zantra would be active in your area I’d have thought.
