First real rain since end of May this evening. Prob about 2mm so far.

Be nice to get 10mm to help grain fill in wheats and spring barley.

Though spring barley does not want heavy rain and wind….😬😬

victor meldrew moment, i dont belive it.
Usually, if it’s going to be raining anyway it will be here but not spot up to now! Just been having beer and BBQ again.
Forecast was saying rain coming in tonight and all day tomorrow but now says dry tomorrow and only a chance overnight. I’ve stopped worrying about it now to be honest.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
