Stone fork (stane graip)

Maybe not so easy to make yourself but I'd seriously consider making it hydraulic tipping like the picture below, and not a hydraulic top link, getting angles and a hydraulic top link to work isn't easy, with this you just need a standard top link and can go on any tractor front linkage, plus the tip and crowd angles are far far better.

Pal of mine not long got one from GM at Turriff and it's very well made.

Mate made one like that from a scraped hydrolic linkbox bought standard forks and added the hydrolic part to it

Think i should manage with hyd top link as going to use it when rolling so dont need excessive crowd to dig big stones out?
I made ours out of an old shear grab I've played around with the top link geometry and can't get it good enough to dig out or tip them off reliably . The Murray tip off version would be the shot .

I had a play with our quick fencer for a guide, wound top link out as far as the hydraulic one i ordered and seemed to crowd off plenty then wound in and seemed to crowd back enough. Will let you know if it seems ok and give you measurments.

Every one of our front linkages are different which is the biggest bother . Most of them lift and drop pretty straight and most of them involve a shunt on the brakes to empty stones off it

Put a few different top link holes in so you can put the pin in a different hole for different tractors

Loader is much better for digging out stones

Looks good, plenty open space at the back for seeing through 👍👍
Some end caps on that box would fairly finish it off 👌
Just need a dry day or two to try it out?
Thanks, unfortunately i was abit slow in making it, all spring crops are in and well on and fodder beet was sown last week so will have to wait until after harvest. Still deciding what to do with the ends as might make the top a storage for a big bar.
