Had a poor scanning. Vet to come out an blood test cows an full check/test of bull. Gone to twice year bolusing, vaccinate for BVD an Lepto. Just seems the harder I try, the worse it gets.
just keep battling on, IBR? I found it in my herd but non of the other diseases... just started blousing, did you find a big increase in cow health?

Always bolus now about this time of yr when Fluke an worm drench. But have started to bolus cows at turnout before bulls go out. Used to calf all yr round till I took more charge an now calf from Mid March till June ish. 25/26 that went to older Char bull that were at grass keep are calf good. That 1 cow develeped a large ulcer on her foot, so may be issue. 18/21 heifers that went to Saler bull for 6 weeks, so pretty good. 20/29 that went to young Char bull incalf. 9 had been running with Saler till he went to heifers. Mainly 1st an 2nd calvers which is most annoying. 2 being my pedigrees which just reared 2nd calf. Lot of these cows haven't been seen bulling.

Had Vet out yesterday. Semen tested the bull. All seemed good, but testing it further. Scanned all young cows an they all seem ok inside with ovaries etc. Took blood off them for testing for everything. Went an bought another bull on Friday though. So got plenty of bull power now.

Bulls go out start of June. Want to calf March to May. Sell most calves straight off cow at weanling sales end of Oct start of Nov. Winter the youngest calves an sell in March. Results for bull came back. Some bent tailed sperm, so classed as sub fertile.
