Suppliers of pin and cone headstock to fit JCB 531-70

Don't mind secondhand as long as it's good.
Haven't bought a JCB yet, but am looking into options.

Cherry products will do it. Our manitou the dealer sent a new manitou headstock and they chop it up use the machine side and manafacture a new attachment side.

Have a jcb one on ours. Fitted by dealer when we bought it. Not sure what the cost was though.

Why do you say this as I find qfit a lot harder to hitch on than pin and cone

I can't stand the JCB headstock, the pin and cone is miles better for me.
I also have a matbro I intend to keep, along with about 8 different attachments on pin and cone.
If the buy another handler, it definitely needs to be pin and cone.

pin and cone should be standard on all tele handlers. Jcb is a big numb rattling old thing. I don’t know how many tons pin and cone is rated at but I’ve never known anyone break one being used for its intended use. Why are the tm320s got pin and cone and apparently on here they will lift 4 ton bags off a lorry at a time

Not a fan of the JCB myself but anything is better than the poorly designed pin and cone.

only used a manitou a couple of times but I'm with everyone else on this thread ,,,,,,,,,. Pin and cone is good for me

I might be wrong but I believe that there are a couple of varients in the pin and cone headstock,,,,,,,,,, from the cone to the bottom of the backplate, if you have the bigger one you can have issues getting of the implement

I've used matbros with pin and cone since the mid eighties, I remember the earlier ones were quite 'pointy' on the cone, my TS 270 is quite rounded, apart from that I've never noticed any differences. They were ALL matbros though.

I've a price for a new JCB one, which incredibly is less than a lot of the secondhand ones on ebay.

Our jcb one is quite deep in the carriage compared to the previous John Deere we had. All pins etc are the same dimensions but there’s a fair depth of steel from the pins to the ground, making some attachments tricky to hitch off if brackets are mounted low down. Our bale spikes are a bit like this so hitch them off in a bale usually. Not often a problem.
