Probably on the wheat, although I am putting some on spring barley at the moment. Is that a mistake?
Spring Barley here is just sitting waiting for rain, its not tillering and its not going up, last thing it needs is more stress IMO. However if you've got well established crop then perhaps, but SB is a soft crop and tank mixes with PGR can knock it.

We have well established crops with quite a few tillers. They are growing well with big root systems.

Same here, although we have been fortunate to catch more rain than most in the east.

I think my wheats and barleys are looking a bit stressed but I think it's because of the cold easterly wind and frosts we've been having up to a few days ago rather than moisture stress but it won't be long before we need a dam good soaking.

Nearly nadgered my January drilled WW with Broadway star sprayed a month ago. It's only just getting over it and has suffered very badly with mildew in mild February which was eventually suppressed by the recent frosts.

T1 about a fortnight away. Going Bravo plus epoxiconazole. No point going overboard the way this drought is going. No rust evident. Very little septoria pressure. Not doing / done a TO.

Keep the spend low.

What do you think this is down to? Better nutrition? Better water holding capacity? Better soil biology helping the plants? I suspect a combination of all of those and more.
Residual N was very low this year so Muck and Sludge has has a dramatic effect. Its very obvious in this years rapes after Winter Barley. Maybe Rb209 should be more flexible about seedbed N

That makes sense. Autumn N from the manure = better root systems.

Lots of no tillers who don't move soil get less soil mineral N available think the issue of autumn N needs looking at again. The problem is that the Environment Agency do not want the risk of any more winter leaching & changing the current framework is difficult. Technically, pre drilling manures in cereals with available N is against RB209 so a possible breach of cross compliance though I'm not aware of any penalties. Nor is it technically illegal to apply autumn N if you have a written recommendation from a FACTS qualified advisor. I'm FACTS qualified & don't fancy facing an RPA inspector wanting 30% of a client's Basic Payment for a breach without serious justification e.g. high doses of paper crumble or straw mulch in a previous carrot crop.

Good old agrii. I've been there done that ! Send it back and if you really want to use it get generic modus for £20/lt

I don’t need to growth regulate, the question is will Moddus be worthwhile to help rooting in such dry conditions?

And if so is the extra £2/ha for the Alatrin actually going to be kinder on an already stressed plant or is it just marketing guff?
