TAARUP 306 BEARING

I have a Taarup 306 mower which needs a couple of bearings in the bed. Ive managed to identify the bearings which sit between the rotas but the bearing nearest the gearbox which sits in the bolted on housing im struggling with. does anyone know where i can source one from? thanks

I think the taarup 306 had actually a kuhn bed in it. Bearings were hard ta get fir it from taarup iirc

You can get the bearings off a bearing trader but you must make sure they are high speed bearings.
Do you have any numbers?

It’s also policy to do the whole lot in those satellites because of the time involved stripping those beds

Most bearings as stated have makers initials, number and any special markings if it's a high speed ball type it may have something like SKF 6202 then single 0 up to 0000 this denotes it has more clearance than standard bearing, if bearing has no marking at all measure id, od and width and type look up bearing supplier site and put these numbers in and it will come up with bearing you require, but check measurements on site with your one using a Vernier gauge as sometimes machine manufacturers have bearings altered to fit their machine but it won't state that on the bearing.

Have you got one out? if so it should be easy to match up.
is it 2 separate bearings you push in from either side? one larger than other?

They altered those bearings Through the generations. Some had the snap ring around the outside same as the intermediate gears. You have to destroy the bearing race to get it out.

I managed to break the snap ring and get the race out. It looks like it was a double row single bearing with snap ring mid way point. Any ideas where i can get one. i went to a local bearing place to me and got the helpful reply that ill need to contact the manufacturer!

Try a different bearing shop. One who can be bothered
