Taarup 7640 bale wrapper

I have just bought a Taarup 7640 at the weekend to upgrade my older t8 wrapper, does anybody know when these were made to as the man believed it was somewhere about 2008 or fresher as he bought it as a demo machine in and around 2010. Also in the settings it gives the option for slowing the table down to half the speed so you can wrap with one roll of wrap, however without actually wrapping a bale i didn't really notice the difference in the table speed, is there any way of checking to see if the wrapper has it without having a bale on the table?

Also has anybody got a hitch and the piping for a Lely Welger 235 baler so you can hook the wrapper on behind the baler.

You might find it doesn't slow the table speed rather than the rotation of the bale which you wouldn't notice
ok ill soon find out some day then when i onluy have one roll left, it was a demo machine so thought it would of had all of the optional extras but it didnt have the film break sensors but this didnt bother me as they never worked on the t8 anyways

I'm saying it probably is working. But slowing the rotation of the rollers rather than the table speed.
Table speed is irrelevant wether you have one or two stretch units

We ran one for years we never managed to get it to run with one roll of wrap but it wasn't a problem as you can up the number of turns manually for one bale with out resetting the box for all bales. We didn't have film brake sensors as we were told at the time they were unreliable. It was a good wrapper but parts are expensive. It was quicker then the hs 2000 that replaced it but a bit more temperamental.

I don't see the point of running with one roll of film. Just get off the tractor and get it tied back on.
Grassman, in our area the farmer supplies the wrap so that means near all contractors dont carry wrap with them, i always carry a spare roll with me but some men dont like to buy 2 rolls if they only have 30 bales to wrap...
