Facebook generate sales revenues of US$80 billion a year and employ over 48,000 people. So have a slight advantage over us.

Plus there was nothing wrong with their APP. It was a DNS issue. We are building an APP that is safe and secure from scratch.

Plus its been 2 months since we launched TFFv18 and in the meantime we have launched TFFv19 and v20 to try and solve our issues.
The FB outage even went as far as locking their staff entrance doors so folks couldn't back in to solve things !!

crazy wasn’t it ! Not sure the full story is being told yet either, no way FB messed up something as basic as DNS records and then could not get back to fix it fast ……. Something got compromised imo

Don’t know why you bother for those ungrateful sods @Clive. I’d be telling the app guys you’ve changed your mind with the abuse that Derrick has given you.

if he had any idea how hard / expensive some of this stuff is I think he may appreciate all involved a little more, especially in relatively to how much he pays to use the site / app 🤣

Im sure you do well out of us, which is good so you can keep investing , no need to be ashamed of that and try and brush it under the carpet

secretly you are my favourite member really 😁

no shame TFF makes money employed serval people and pays UK tax, my personal investment to date hasn’t really returned much if anything yet but I hope in will do in the future

my principal has always been to take money of those who make money out of farmers, not the farmers themselves. It’s not been a bad formula to date really

Perhaps Derek and the other moaners would like to fund their own app.
Yes I hate browser too but if you feel the need to constantly whinge and complain I guess you’ve forgotten what’s really important in life. I’m just grateful they’re even making an app for us.

Never forget that TFF is a business, run to make a profit. If it wasn't going to cover itself, they wouldn't be doing it.

Not totally true for each piece of work. The APP will lose money in the short term (say first 3 years), but is being part funded by international advertising revenue and an initial lump sum. Long term though the APP has to be seen as a good thing and I will be much more happy that it will be under our own dev control (Even if that dev is slow at times).
