Telescopic tanker axle?

I understand that the tanker is well set up as it is, I'm just not sure there's much can be done to improve it. Thinking back to the days of double chops and 5 ton trailers the tractor never pulled straight, a 16000 litre tanker weighs a lot more, will the effect not be multiplied?

Very difficult to get the strength in a single pivot point, far easier to to keep the strength, if you pivot the complete drawbar, no?

Use a piece of 60mm ram crome for your pin and plenty of plating around the drawbar I can't see it being a problem
