Hadn't seen a post on this. Some sad stories on this and awful for the stock. Heard one estimate that 3000 to 4000 miles of fencing will need replaced.

Most of the Midwest was once a regenerative pastoral environment, then they ploughed it up replacing a lush green prairie with a drought ridden landscape.
