the corner strainer took over an hour to chap, the ground had been made up with stones and hardcore so when i hit a stone it went off straight. no more than 5- 10 mm each chap. had to reposition about half dozen times but to get it properly straight was worth the time and effort

Are the staples/gas any cheaper than the stockade? Only downside I’ve found with mine. I’ve got a paslode nail gun & nails/gas for that are comparatively cheap

WARNING! THIS IS NOT PRETTY
But it must be one of the most difficult places we've ever had to fence. We bought a dilapidated hill farm years ago for very little money as there were grazing rights on the Brecon Beacons for 1089 ewes & lambs. We already had 2 other farms in the area with rights on the same hill. Anyway, we've fenced 1130 metres this last four days. My brother dug a track around part of it last autumn ready for fencing this year so we were able to knock the strainers in with the Protech on the digger and we hand knocked the stakes.

This map shows what we've done this week in blue and the yellow line is 600 metres we did two years ago.

We use telephone poles for strainers and cap each one with aluminium plate
