It seems to be our turn in the flytipping rota to receive some tyres.

When I went thru the pile I’ve noticed several tyres (Michelin and continental) have bar codes on the beads.

I’ve also found a low pressure warning valve off a merc, which has a QR code on it

Anyone know if either of these are traceable or would they just be for part identification purposes?

Although I had tyres and XR3’s and other stuff dumped in the past I did have one particularly good result;
One morning a concerned local called to say there was a big pile of rubbish that had been dumped in one of the forest gateways.
I went to investigate.

Whilst carefully going through all the old bits of plasterboard, insulation, rubble & etc I discovered a local Builders Merchant yard ticket, so paid a visit to obtain an address.
I visited this address and it turned out that the ‘developer’ had paid a geezer to clear their site which was about three miles away.
Of course the forest gateway was a great place to dump and save the cost of professional disposal.
To cut a long story short, all the rubbish was gone by end of play that day👍

There is a car sculpture in the USA which tickled me. (Vehicles buried nose down in a line)
In the days of the XR3, these were left abandoned on the forest tracks on almost a weekly basis. Most were burnt although some looked like they had exploded as all the interior was ripped out and strewn around the cars dead carcass.

On the back of the American car sculpture I started to gather the XR3’s together in a particular spot near a highway cross roads junction and stack them in an ‘artistic’ way prior to the council removing them.

Later on in the week I received a frantic call from a person concerned that there had been a major car crash with four cars involved…….I never finished my sculpture😮

I know that guy, he’s not a million miles away from us. Wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of him!
Used to farm next door to him before moving north. Some character he is!!! Known him all his life, always good for a laugh. Couldn't have had a better neighbour than his dad. Different man altogether.

I went through a phase of reporting fly tipping. It got to the point that the local councillor gave me the contact details of the person that dealt with it at the council, such was the regularity of my reports. However, it was always someone else's resonsiblity, whether that was the land owner or a different council. From what I remember, the did virtually nothing about any of what I called in, so I stopped. This leads me to belive that there is far more fly tipping than is reported and the authorities acknowledge.

There's a gang of gypos (sue me if you don't like the term) that go around advertising for drive laying every summer. They use a different company name every year, but it's always based at the same place in Romford. They were doing a drive nearby and I saw them from a distance fly tipping in one of our fields. I called it in to plod, told the exactly where they had dumped, where they were working and a detailed description of the vehicle. The police did f**k all. The copper rang me and basically fobbed me off. I asked him, why, if he couldn't pin the fly tipping on them, why they didn;t check the waste transfer license, O license of the 7.5 tonner, driving license and tacho and trip them up that way. Utterly useless

Only ever had one bad case of flytipping when someone decided to dump the wood fram a garden fence in the middle of a field. My grandad didn't mind tho it kept his fire going for about a week.

A family member paid £40 to have a couch took away. A couple of druggie lads turned up, got the £40 took the couch and started carrying it down the street, as soon as he went back in his house they chucked it in someone else's garden and ran off.
