The war in Ukraine...

China... I don't think China really has any friends globally, just convenient associates for whatever reason. It certainly has no love for Russia, and 'my enemy's enemy' only goes so far. Importantly, it can't survive without both Western trade and enormous imports, and China is on the brink of economic meltdown.

If push comes to shove, and the West makes it brutally clear that serious military help to Russia means serious sanctions against Chinese goods and preventing its imports, my guess is that China will choose Western trade and cheap / free Russian energy.

One could be forgiven for thinking you are getting the message to spread straight from the Kremlin.

Haha, how many did the French kill in Africa? What happened to Gadaffi and Libya for cheap fuel, which you use in your vehicles? Come off it, you can't give lectures to Brian whilst your country makes Putin look like a fairy.

Brian has a valid point, arming innocent Ukrainians and sending them to the front line via gunpoint is not going to win the war, it will simply decimate an entire generation of Ukrainians.

I am shocked at how many members are content with young Ukrainians being sent to their deaths daily!

i promise you this, when the French start launching missiles at Andora/Switzerland I will be out on the streets at the very least

Sincerity, It is not me who is supporting the daily death of young Ukrainians, it is you who is playing arm chair general.

Go on enlighten us what do you think will happen to conclude affairs? Will Mr Biden send in American troops?
Do you not realise if Ukraine didn’t fight there would have been 10s of thousands killed in cold blood anyway
id rather die trying/fighting to save my country than be killed anyway

All you want to see is the West leave Ukraine .then Ukraine just die under putin so the risk of majore conflict does eskelate just to save your skin. It is the fear of majors conflict that drives you to say throw the Ukrainians to Putin's murder squods
Bo!licks, Ukraine will sacrifice thousands more trying to reclaim many areas that didn't want to be part of Ukraine in the first place, there were several opportunities early on both before & after it started to avoid all this bloodshed but that is not what the US & UK wanted, now the best Ukraine can hope for is restricting Russia to what they now occupy with an uneasy truce.

Not an easy choice but with no other country prepared to come to their aid giving up part of their country might be their least painful option.
