One worker is busy dehorning 40 calves today. The apprentice is off with his tutor for an hour then back for a chat about his training. We're all caught up here. Maize and fert all out and washed i and jus about to order some more. Builders are cracking on with the house. Digger is here doing what diggers do. My niece will be here for the day as well soon. Just got the internet today and it has turned my life around in 2 hours.
Firstly I won an iPhone for being the 10,000th visitor to a site. Then I won a free Green Card to America. Found out that there are hundreds of horny women that are mad for sex in my area, found out a new way of growing my dick four extra inches, have a sexy Russian teenager on a plane over here and to top it all off I won 3 million in the Jamaican lottery.
Must be beginners luck.:) @Gator

Started the morning wondering where I was going to get the material to bring the ground up to the level I need to put in the next 2 raised beds.

Am now sitting down for a cuppa with 20 tons of pretty decent topsoil and 10 of subsoil sitting in the garden needing scaled out reckon it may even be enough evel up half the area and complete the transition from swamp to garden(y). Nell had come back from town by a different route and seen a digger in a garden about 70yds up the street. Lot of grunt work ahead but it'll be well worth it:D

Do you check out sites such as gumtree and freecycle etc? Plenty of folk give stuff away just to get rid of it.

Original idea was to bring up a couple of trailer loads from my son's place where we have a pile of subsoil from a job we did a couple of years ago but would have taken at least a day going back and forth for maybe 12 ton, this way I've got @30 ton in maybe an hour and a half without having to do more than remove and rehang a gate and guide the guy to where I wanted it dumped;)

Digger is still clearing the stuff I couldn't take, think he'll be there most of the weekend. Guess what, they've just found an old blocked tile drain:wideyed:, sound familiar?:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
