Having a bit of a friendly argument with a mate on Farcebook about one of those observational puzzles.

Now the bottom line is translated to 2+3+3x11, it's all to do with looking closely at the images, the clock is at 2, the bananas now are in bunches of 3 and the geometric shapes now have 11 sides.
Delving into the years and remembering the BODMAS rule it comes to 38 but my mate was adamant it was 88. I said due to the maths rule which a calculator will do automatically it's 38 so he tried it with the calculator on his computer, the microsoft one and it gave him his answer! That prompted me to have a look and if you use the basic calculator you get the 88 but if you use the scientific one it gives 38!
This might be a bloody good test to give your accountant to find out whether he's going to be working for you or himself ;)

Having so many swifts and swallows swooping over the garden on Monday evening that the sound of their wings was as loud as if someone had stood behind us shaking a branch of dead leaves.
