Evening All,

We are looking for a tine mounted brush to sweep grain stores, the workshop and to keep the yard tidy. The idea is to use it with the Manitou telehandler and also the Nissan Forklift. Its not the most exciting of topics but does anyone have an opinion on the best product/ manufacturer out there?

Just looking for a durable brush that will leave a clean finish. The Albutt brush seems to look like the leader so far... http://www.albutt.com/product/all-sweep-brushes/

Thanks for any help/ suggestions!

Bought one of these before Christmas. Used it a couple of times on muddy yards. Hasn't fallen apart yet.

Looks good and the marketing videos are smart but they only go up to 2m and we are currently using a 2.4m rotary brush behind a tractor (should have mentioned that in the post) so would feel like a step backwards. Ideal for a forklift but would be more narrow than our Manitou as well. Thanks for the link though!

Yes I got a sweepex 2.8 metre version on my 531/70.got jcb q fit brackets and bolted on.brilliant bit of kit.can clean out grainstore floor in about 5 mins in cab out of the dust.easy to clear up between loads too.handy in workshop in dust and also great on mud and damp conditions like my wash pad.i bolted some thin steel rod, maybe 6mm either end of brush, sticking up about 4ft with a tennis ball on top as I’ve no idea where edge of brush is so easy to judge.id recommend one

Thanks Nick very useful info. Good point on the sticks for visibility, can see that being a downside from a telehandler point of view, but definitely better staying out of the dust sweeping up grain stores/ workshop.

We too have a 2.4m sweepex, brilliant for sweeping the grain floors with slatted floors, good on the workshop floor aswell.
The only downside is they dont like it too sticky, we usually sweep the outside yard on a wet day and does a really good job then. Had ours 3 years and no problems

Good news on the slatted floors - I notice you're from Herefordshire too, did you get yours through a dealership or straight from Sweepex?

I cant remember where it came from. The boss bought it off the stand from a cereals event and it turned up a few days later, not sure if it was direct or through a middle man. I got a feeling rfm might sell them

Albutt backup is very poor. They supplied a JCB headstock to fit onto our new Merlo and it’s extremely poorly designed and not fit for purpose. They appear not interested in assisting the Merlo dealer in sorting it out.

Hello All

I have the same question similar about this fascinating brush topic.
I fancy these non rotary types, as they shouldn't produce quite so much dust in the sheds. However I also want to try and brush out some of the loose soil in my hardcore yard too and get rid for the fines that turn the yard to sh*t when it rains. Are they any good on cleaning hardcore please?

Thanks in advance.

I’ve an NC one best built I could find. Great in grain store. On rough yard you need to do on a damp day then the next dry day and but of wind and rain after and place looks like it’s been washed
