Open question peoples favourite or the most important.

Should there not be a county in the list,
Something old with tracks,
And a trantor

MF 135
IH 454 (much underrated)
MF 390
We have all three bought from new. Our insurance is going up as their value increases. Simple tractors, easy to repair, with available new spares. India still makes versions of IH434 and MF135. You see them throughout rural India for the same reason my father bought them. Our current main tractor is a financial liability in comparison.

Would you need to be more specific than just say NH TM’s?
Heard of a few issues with the larger 175’s/190’s.
Early 175/190s had issues I will concede. Later ones were by all accounts quite reliable.

But I do believe the first generation TMs were the best. The merger between NH and CaseIH did the revised models no favours as Basildon was churning so many out quality control slipped a bit.

Ford 4000
Ford 4600
Ford 4610
variations on a theme. I still have them at work everyday
I thought ford 4600 as well. They're absolutely f**king everywhere still! Must be a decent tractor to be so popular and so many still left working. I know of about 10 withing a few miles of me still doing some work. Massey 135 would be the only other tractor I can think of to be about in such numbers.

MB 1500. When these came out in 1980, what else could travel at 60k with a 5 furrow reversible on the back with no bouncing.. Girlfriend on a proper passenger seat, sitting in a pretty quiet ac'd cab... Proper contractors machine.
Grey ferguson/35's The little old fergys got men out from behind a horse and on a seat.. top quality design and top grade steels used. Jesus, you could still put most of them back into frontline service doing 12 hour shifts!
Fastrac. Full suspension and four wheel steer are the only real advances in the last 20 years..
