TopCon X25 Monitor Not working

Got the X25 powered but not loading anything
Looks like the NANDrive has failed inside . it fails to boot just sits on hour glass screen and does nothing - tried puting usb in to reload OS but it doesnt do anything . usb stick shows on screen next to hour glass but still no load. After few mins screen goes black nothing displayed. Has anyone ever repalced the NANDrives in these looks imposible ?

Hi @MSW , might be worth trying to initialise the USB if you haven't already. Normally you would use the option in the X25 to provision the USB for update but as you can't then it needs to be done manually. If you open the files there is one called install_mbr.cmd. Right click it and run as administrator, then a command prompt will come up asking you to press any key. Follow the instructions and eject the USB properly and see if that helps.

Thanks For the reply - this is how i would upgrade/ reinstall these monitors anyway, you cannot boot from usb without a MBR but thanks anyway.

No worries, I thought you probably had to get it to that stage, but it was worth a mention. I think the only option will be to send it back for repair in that case. Sounds like it might need to go in for repair in that case unfortunately.

I would but unfortunately history tells me i can repair better than topcon
I have sent stuff to LH Agro and they ship off to topcon repair thats in spain . I had a receiver last year they said was scrap needs replacing . I had said no chance send it back and i repaired it that week. it was challenging to do but was still possible, to this day its on the roof with RTK working perfectly.

Hi, I recently got the X25 unit, with a standard SGR-1 Receiver. The firmware and software virsion was old so I opted to update it. The firmware update procedure went with no troubles (downloaded the newest from topcon),but the software is giving me fits. It had a 3.18.211 software version and wanted to update to the latest 5.02.24 from the topcon website. I followed the procedure from this https://ramseybros.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/QG-Upgrading-X25-Firmware-and-Software.pdf The install went through (with the usb stick icon next to the hourglass loading symbol). But after the progress bar completes the monitor restarts and gets stuck at the hourglass loading screen. Now I cannot find the older 3.18.211 version to get the damn thing at least running again.

Did I make a mistake by not updating every single previous version up until the newest one (rather than jump from 3.18.211 to 5.02.24 in one go?)?

Is there a way to do a factory reset and wipe the whole system clean and maybe try again?
I am located in Bulgaria and there is no official Topcon dealer here. Only a bunch of resellers which I do not trust...
