Topping rushes

We have always hired a flail topper from a local dealer to top rushes,but now no longer has one,so just wondering which type and make of topper would do the best job if I decided to buy one?

The back to back Y flails are generally regarded the best for rushes.

A weed wiper! Topping the same rushes every year is a massive waste of time and diesel.

Wipe in June with roundup, top in august after they’ve died off, watch your rushes disappear for good.

Mow it, turn it, bale it, bed your cattle with it.
By removing them you give the grass a better chance rather than smothering it.
