I re seeded a field last year and there's a lot of thistles growing on it, what's the best spray or way to get rid of them? It's a 10 acre field so might spot spray with knapsack

Sorry for moaning but I'm fed up of the rain.. We have had one or two days where it's been nice. Land dries up then rain again and it's saturated.
