Tractor gps signal out cable

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a GPS signal out of a new mf 7718s?

I want to use the tractors GPS to supply the signal to our mueller controlled knight sprayer. The sprayer came with a little receiver which connects to the back of the mueller terminal via a serial port but I would rather use the more accurate signal from the tractor. Also I wouldn't need to worry about moving the receiver from tractor to tractor or whether there would be problems having all that gear on one tractor.

Anyone any ideas? I have asked the dealer and am waiting for them to come back to me but I thought I'd try here as well.

Thanks

There will be a RS232 cable usually hidden down the right hand side either by the fuses or sometimes dropped further down. If you take the cover off by where 6/7 spools are you should be able to locate it.

No, tractor will just do auto guide and the knight screen can take care of the SC. I would need to get the tractor unlocked to do SC so thought we'd just leave it as is.

If I remember correctly, as I didn't pay that much attention at the time, there are only 4 wires going into it from the tractor. The DB9 plug looks like it comes apart easily enough.

I always find the tx and rx pins confusing, which one follows the computer port pin numbers and which one has them swapped. Better to check with a multimeter first, easy to find which pin transmits data.

Don't know about Massey and are they all the same but most likely you anyway only need ground, rx and tx.
