One of those days. Stick from wood punctured plastic fuel tank on Kub M7 just behind front wheel. Tank is ribbed for strength and 2” stick punctured tank.
Kub say 7-10 days for new tank 😩
Anyone got a good way to glue or weld to get us going again. Also anyone know of a tank in uk?

Local plastic welding company has done a number of jd tanks for me, usually under £50 if I take the tank off and leave it with them for a day. Just use google to see if there’s a plastic welding company local to you, some hire companies will also have the kit available to hire but you need to get the correct rods to do the repair.

Kent Europe did a kit that mixed two chemicals together and would react and melt into the tank I have repaired a few that way

South Shropshire closer than a new tank somewhere in Europe! Post the details and I’ll try them.
I’ve found a local chap but he does car bumpers so doesn’t inspire confidence.

New tank £1000 but 10 days away. Local radiator repair crew also do fuel tanks so get a repair there to get us going again while wait for new. Really awkward place to glue so can’t see it holding. Think that’s the best way forward

We hole a tank many years ago, took it to local kayak manufacturer who melted and sealed the whole.

They were worried about the diesel catching fire. I called their bluff and said it would be fine......and it was 🤫

Few pound notes and everyone happy
